Aiden

He was a little kitten, born in China.

How old he was and what his life was before it met a cruel end is unknown. He was very young, almost a kitten, surviving every day, fighting for his meal -- until someone picked him up. Not to give him a warm home with unconditional love and good food.

He was scared, pushed into a corner where he put all his strength into his hind legs to stand up, hoping to scare his abuser away. He made himself bigger and saw his abuser directly in the eyes. He hoped that this was just a cruel joke, pleading and begging for mercy, but instead it was the cruel reality for him.

The camera got hold directly on his face, full of fear. People who watched the video were laughing about it -- laughing that he, a little kitten, tried to scare a big human away. They were laughing about his cruel death.

He is not the first victim and he is not the last.

One member of "Abuse No More" saw his picture and thought about him being a little fighter who lost the battle.

The member gave him the name "Aiden," which means little fighter.

The wish that he should never fight for his next meal or a warm home full of love was not fulfilled. He was not given the name during his lifetime, only after death.

Aiden. Little Fighter. He stood up on his hind legs and looked his abuser in the eyes. He lost the battle, but his name means he will never be forgotten.
